Retired from the Michigan State Police (MSP) after 27 years. A twenty year veteran of the MSP Emergency Support Team (SWAT), Tom draws his real life experiences into this training so he can unify both private and public response
to violent incidents, hazardous material responses and bomb threats. He is a respected trainer in command and control in these types of incidents.
Susan Mynsberge
Retired from the Michigan Department of State as an executive administrator and driver analyst. Susan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwood University in Business Administration. She is the account executive and coordinator of training.
Chris Fredenburg
Saginaw Township Police Officer for over 20 years and is currently a Sergeant supervising the Saginaw Township Advanced Crime Prevention Unit, overseeing the safety and security of schools and businesses. Being certified in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), he developed and implemented innovative
crime prevention initiatives directly responsible for reduction in crime in the business district, schools, malls, places of worship and apartment complexes.
Rudi Nitschmann
Retired from the Michigan State Police after 29 years as a Trooper with 26
years on the Emergency Support Team. Rudi is an expert in Tactical Field Operations Training, Level 2 and Instructor, Rapid Response Instructor,
Tubular Assault Instructor, Tactical Door Breaching and Field Craft Instructor. Courses are MCOLES Certified. He was also a member of the U.S. Army - Special Reaction Team. Rudi has responded to more active shooter responses than anyone else in the nation.
W. Darrell Ellis
Recently retired as Police Chief/Public Safety Administrator for Montrose, MI. Prior to his position as Director, he retired from the Michigan State Police as a Lieutenant in the Narcotics Division. Darrell is a former President in the American Police Chaplains Association. Darrell is also a specialized canine handler with the MSP.
Richard Casanova
Retired after 23 years with the Michigan State Police and 19 years on the MSP Emergency Support Team and over 800 tactical activations. Rich is a Krav Maga, Defensive Tactics, Sniper/Counter Sniper, QUAD, Concealed Pistol License (CPL) Certified Trainer, and Tubular Assault Instructor. He was also a ten-year veteran of the USMC Desert Shield/Desert Storm activation.
